Tour de Tendring

Sunday 19 May 2024START/FINISH HARWICH: Dovercourt Bay Lifestyles, Wick Lane, Dovercourt, Harwich CO12 3TS60 , 20 or short closed road circular routes

Messieurs-Dames, join us – s’il vous plait - for Le Tour de Tendring Bike Ride! With 60 or 20 mile circular routes, and a short closed road route at Clacton, the picturesque district of Tendring offers perfect cycling country with quiet roads, low hills and views to the sea.

Choosing a Start and Finish point in either Dovercourt (Harwich) (60 / 20 mile routes) or Clacton-on-Sea, (60 / short closed road routes). Along the way we’ll visit St Osyth with its historic Martello Tower, Great Bentley - which boasts the biggest village green in England – and Great Oakley, its roots stretching back to the Domesday Book and, of course, Clacton - famous for its pier and pleasure gardens.

Running in conjunction with 2024 Tendring Festival, at both Finish-points you’ll be able to unwind with refreshments and entertainment - and perhaps top the ride off with a free swim at Dovercourt swimming pool...or maybe a splash in the briny at Clacton. (Weather permitting!)
