Are you interested in becoming a Bike Events volunteer?  Do you want to be part of a team providing a fun day out for cyclists, many of whom are raising money for charity?  There are a variety of roles, from signing people up in the morning, to welcoming riders in at the finish.

To say thank you for your help, you can take up a free place on one of our bike rides!

If you think this sounds like you, fill in the form (link at the end of this page) and submit to us here at Bike Events!

Time commitment
Depending on the role, you could be on site for 3-4 hours, or more, or come in the morning and return in the afternoon after a break.

You will need to be a minimum of 18 years of age, no upper limit!

Types of roles
Administration help at the start, registering new riders
Site work - Non manual
Marshalling at the start/finish - for eg car park, site
Site help at the finish - handing out medals/water, litter picking
Site work - manual
Equipment help at the start/finish - putting up and taking down tents/loading vehicles

You will be offered breaks of course, (tea/lunch), depending on how long you are on site. Some roles are more physical than others, so we will bear this in mind when discussing breaks. Food and drink will be paid for.

All training takes places on site on the day. However, leading up to the event, we will discuss the role in detail in order for you to make arrangements. Hi-viz tabards will be provided where necessary.

Free place on ride
If you are not able to take up your free place on a ride, it is possible to pass it on to a friend. We would need their name, address, contact details and emergency contacts in order to process their place in the first instance.
