A beautiful 60 or 30 mile ride in Norfolk's lovely countryside. Starting from City Hall and taking in the edge of the Broads, touching the coast on the 60, while the 30 mile loops inland taking in a stretch alongside the Bure Valley Railway, before reaching bucolic Ranworth, and then a triumphant return to food, drink and a medal at the Finish - Lower School by the Cathedral.

Other info

Riders will be set off in small groups at 30 second intervals.

Minimum rider age 12 years on the 30 mile route and 14 years on the 60 mile route. All riders under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult over 18.
ALL riders aged 17 years or under MUST have a signed parental consent form. The form is emailed to each rider and posted in rider packs with the Ride Guide, and can also be downloaded HERE
Please email the completed form to enquiries@bike-events.co.uk or bring this to the bike ride Check In on the day. 16 and 17 year olds may cycle unaccompanied. 15 year olds and under MUST be accompanied by an adult.

ALL riders MUST wear a helmet. A selection of helmets will be available for purchase on the day.

** We recommend that all riders have both bike and personal liability insurances as we cannot be held responsible for damage, loss or theft of your bike or personal items or personal liability.**
The ride will follow Covid-safety advice from the Government and British Cycling. Do NOT take part if you are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms.

Ride Gradings

Suitable for anyone who enjoys a reasonably active life. The pace is gentle and the terrain flat to undulating. Distances no more than 30 miles (50km).

Suitable for those with slightly more cycling experience. the terrain can be a little hillier than grade 1.5 and distances up to 45 miles (70km).

For the regular and reasonably fit cyclist. The terrain may include some challenging hills and distances up to 75 miles (110km).

These routes require a good level of fitness and stamina and feature challenging inclines and/or a longer time in the saddle. Distances can be up to 100 miles (160km).

Getting here by car

Parking: Nearest car park is at The Forum (access via Bethel Street, NR2 1TF). Open from 6.00am for the event, at their standard rate of £2.20/hour. For other parking info please visit Parkopedia. Height restrictions on all these car parks!

For 'welcoming parties': Please note there is no parking at the Finish itself. Closest (but quite small) Pay & Display car park is near the Adam and Eve pub (NR3 1RZ).The Finish venue is approximately 1.5 miles from the Start venue.

Getting here by train

Norwich station is 1 mile from the start. Please check with operator regarding carriage of bikes.
