Manchester 100 is back! Enjoy 100 miles on Sunday 5th September

Starting and finishing in Wythenshawe Park, the Christie Manchester 100km will take you through flat and gently rolling country lanes on a sweep through the beautiful Cheshire landscape. Enjoy a worry-free day out with mechanics, pick-up vehicles, marshals and refreshment stops along the signed route. Cyclists will return to a warm welcome and a MEDAL from Team Christie.

Money raised from The Christie Manchester 100km helps to provide inspiration and hope to cancer patients and their families, as well as helping to carry out more research, give more people the very best treatment and care – and save even more lives. Entry fees pay for the safe running of the event; The Christie charity needs participants to raise sponsorship to help revolutionise the fight against cancer.

Because of Covid restrictions, the Ride's been rescheduled from 16 May to 5 September.
Riders signed up for the 16 May will be transferred to 5 September 2021 date automatically

This event will be held with Covid-safety guidance from the Government, British Cycling and Safety Advisory Groups.

Minimum rider age is 14 YRS. Riders under 16 MUST wear a cycle helmet and be accompanied by an adult over 18.

You can refill your water bottle and purchase food and drinks at the official refreshment stops along the way.
September weather can be mixed, so you may want to bring waterproofs along with your sunscreen!

Road bike / hybrid / mountain bike suitable.

It is recommended that all riders wear a helmet. A selection of helmets will be available for purchase on the day.

** We recommend that all riders have both bike and personal liability insurances as we cannot be held responsible for damage, loss or theft of your bike or personal items or personal liability.**

Ride Gradings

Suitable for anyone who enjoys a reasonably active life. The pace is gentle and the terrain flat to undulating. Distances no more than 30 miles (50km).

Suitable for those with slightly more cycling experience. the terrain can be a little hillier than grade 1.5 and distances up to 45 miles (70km).

For the regular and reasonably fit cyclist. The terrain may include some challenging hills and distances up to 75 miles (110km).

These routes require a good level of fitness and stamina and feature challenging inclines and/or a longer time in the saddle. Distances can be up to 100 miles (160km).

Getting here by car

Wythenshawe Park is close to Jc 3a of the M56. Then take A5103, Princess Parkway and turn on to Wythenshawe Road (B5167) using the north entrance to the park off Wythenshawe Road. All day parking at Wythenshawe Park and The Manchester College £3.50 (both accessed from Wythenshawe Road - we will direct you on arrival). Buy in advance to avoid queues on the day, and have your ticket ready to show at the entrance! If you've booked a ticket but haven't received it by post, don't worry, the parking marshals will have a full list of those who have pre-paid, so they'll give you a permit on arrival.

Getting here by train

Piccadilly station is 7 miles north of the park. Please check with operator regarding carriage of bikes.
