Starting from Manchester United Football Ground at Old Trafford, this invigorating ride will take you along country lanes to the finish on the South Promenade at Blackpool, where you can enjoy a barbecue, live music and well-earned massage (not to mention a well-earned drink in the beer tent!).

“Threading over 8,000 riders through Preston was no mean feat but organiser Bike Events did a great job with the route, using a varied mixture of well-signed roads before heading for the coast and along Blackpool’s South Shore Promenade. Riding into the finish area was a memorable experience for riders, looking like the final stage of the Tour de France with lots of cheering well-wishers. The Solaris Centre parkland was the perfect post-ride chill-out zone where riders could relax and reflect on a memorable ride which raised funds for The Christie hospital in Manchester”. Cycling Active Magazine

"This was the first time I have participated in the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride and I loved every minute of it! I'll definitely be joining in next year as well. I had the misfortune to come off my bike at one point, largely through my inexperience, and your first aiders quickly helped me get back on the road, as did the mechanic at the next stop. Because of this I feel a little indebted to the event, so I intend making a donation to Christies as a gesture of my gratitude. Once again, thank you very much." N. H.

“Manchester to Blackpool is such a fun ride and the entertainment and beer tent is a great dangling carrot during the ride” Baz Bignell
