8 days easy-paced cycling on the beautiful island of Majorca

This tour takes you on a relaxed trip from coast to coast across the beautiful island of Majorca. The diverse rustic scenery of the centre of the island contrasts with vast sandy beaches and hidden coves lapped by the turqoise waters of the Mediterranean. A combination of 3 double overnight stays, in carefully selected 4* and 5* hotels with sea views and a pool - some with a spa area - gives you complete flexibility to either spend two days discovering the island on your trusty steed or just one day with the other spent relaxing at the hotel...the choice is yours.

Each tour starts on either a THURSDAY or a SATURDAY.

Low season - arrivals: March 27 - April 9 / October 16 - October 25
Mid season - arrivals: April 10 - May 28 / September 25 - October 15

Route Details

Day 1: Arrival at the airport in Playa de Palma
Taxi transfer to the hotel in Sa Coma ( a walk along the beautiful promenade is recommended first!) approx. 70 km (1 hour).

Day 2: Tour into the romantic town of Arta approx 40 km
After a welcome briefing, tour information and distribution of the rental bicycles, the first day's ride is a comfortable tour via Sant Llorenc (church Santa Maria del Bellver dating back to the 13th century), through the picturesque hinterland of the island. Lovely designed and maintained paths take you to Artà. There are several alleys leading up the hill where this little town was built. When you reach the summit panoramic views await from the pilgrimage church Sant Salvador along the surrounding coastline, hilly landscape, almond plantations and olive groves. Your return route will wend its way back along the coastline to your hotel.

Day 3: Sa Coma – C’an Picafort approx. 65 km
Today's tour will take you via the sleepy village of Son Carrio to Manacor. Manacor is famous for its production of artificial pearls called Majoricas’. Whilst here, dont forget to visit the countless little shops selling hand-made ceramics - they make great souvenirs! The return leg to C’an Picafort ilncludes a real treat - you will get to ride through Santa Margalida, one of the the most enchanting landscapes of the island, and enjoy a typical Majorcan lunch snack.

Day 4: Tour Port de Pollenca/Alcúdia approx. 40 km
Today you set off with the added bonus of not having to pack your bags as you will be returning back to C'an Picafort at the end of the day. The cycle tour takes you through the nature reserve S’Albufera with its various trails, beach and pine woods to the bay of Pollenca with its Roman harbour. The route winds its way along the coastal path into Alcúdia the oldest town on the island. After Alcúdia its back to C’an Picafort.

Day 5: C’an Picafort – Centre of Island/Inca approx. 35-65 km
Wonderful paths lead you along the World Cultural Heritage site Tramuntanas. This amazing mountain range serves as a backdrop for the valley lined by olive groves. The especially diverse limestone caves of Campanet are well worth a visit. Blending into the rural surroundings is also your accomodation for the next two days. You spend the night in one of the so-called Hotel Rurales, which ooze special charm and are kept and run in the traditional Finca-style.

Day 6: Tour around the Puig de Inca approx. 55 km
Today’s tour takes you around the Puig de Inca, approx. 300 metres in height. Through orange plantations and olive groves you cycle to countless Majorcan villages, their typical stone walls and village squares are the perfect places for a break. We recommend you definitely have a stop in the winegrowers village of Binissalem. This is where the most famous Majorcan wines are pressed and can be sampled in various Bodegas.

Day 7: Centre of Island/Inca – Playa de Palma approx. 35-65 km
A day of contrasts. Your tour starts in rural countryside and leads you through sleepy little villages. As soon as you reach the coast, the island comes to life along the beach front with a wide variety of restaurants and leisure activities to provide you with an entertaining final day of the tour.

Day 8: Departure or extension of trip
