The 'GR8 Escape' is a delightful 12-mile circular ride, perfect for families and newcomers - or those who just want to while away a lazy morning exploring quiet lanes in good company. Following quiet lanes and cycle paths, the route will take you from the start at Harwell Campus,near Didcot, through a gentle landscape to Ardington (refreshments and toilets available here) and back again, meeting returning riders from the longer routes.

| Getting There: Car | From M4 Jc 13 follow A34 north then take A4185 (Newbury Rd.) toward Rowstock and look for our signs.
Harwell is approximately 16 miles south of Oxford.
There will be 2 main and a number of overflow car parks. They will all be signposted on the day with traffic marshals in place to guide drivers.
Please be aware that due to security consideration there will also be traffic restrictions in force on a number of roads within the Harwell Campus complex. |
