Etape Loch Ness 2017
Over 5,000 cyclists will travel to the Scottish Highlands on Sunday, 23 April to ride in Etape Loch Ness: a 66-mile closed-road sportive that circles the loch.
Beginning in central Inverness, participants will enjoy the rare treat of traffic-free roads in some of the country’s most stunning scenery. Following a route that traverses the lochside landscape, riders will pass through picturesque villages and test their mettle on the King of the Mountain stage – a gruelling 4.8-mile hill climb that reaches 380m.
As the cyclists return to Inverness, they’ll be greeted by the cheers of spectators who line the final two miles along the River Ness. For those wishing to soak up the atmosphere, it’s here – and at the finishing line in the Event Hub at Eden Court – that the action really hots up.
