Starting and finishing in Wythenshawe Park, the Manchester 100 mile will take you through beautiful country lanes on a sweep through the beautiful Cheshire landscape. Enjoy a great day's cycling with mechanics, pick-up vehicles, marshals and refreshment stops along the signed route. Cyclists will return to a warm welcome and a medal.

Riders will be set off in small groups at 30 second intervals.

Minimum rider age is 16 YRS.
ALL riders MUST wear a helmet. A selection of helmets will be available for purchase on the day.

You can refill your water bottle and purchase food and drinks at the official refreshment stops along the way. (bring some cash in case card payments aren't accepted).
September weather can be mixed, so you may want to bring waterproofs along with your sunscreen!
Road/ hybrid bike suitable.

** We recommend that all riders have both bike and personal liability insurances as we cannot be held responsible for damage, loss or theft of your bike or personal items or personal liability.**
We advise all riders take a Covid-19 test prior to taking part in the ride. Do NOT take part if you are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms.

Ride Gradings

Suitable for anyone who enjoys a reasonably active life. The pace is gentle and the terrain flat to undulating. Distances no more than 30 miles (50km).

Suitable for those with slightly more cycling experience. the terrain can be a little hillier than grade 1.5 and distances up to 45 miles (70km).

For the regular and reasonably fit cyclist. The terrain may include some challenging hills and distances up to 75 miles (110km).

These routes require a good level of fitness and stamina and feature challenging inclines and/or a longer time in the saddle. Distances can be up to 100 miles (160km).

Getting here by car

Wythenshawe Park is close to Jc 3a of the M56. Then take A5103, Princess Parkway and turn on to Wythenshawe Road (B5167) using the north entrance to the park off Wythenshawe Road. All day parking at Wythenshawe Park is £4.00. Buy in advance to avoid queues on the day, and have your ticket ready to show at the entrance! If you do want to buy a parking ticket on the day, please bring CASH!! If you've already bought a ticket online but haven't received it by post, don't worry, the marshals at the gate will have you on their list.

Getting here by train

Piccadilly station is only 7 miles north of the park. Please check with operator regarding carriage of bikes.
